Part 1, of the ceremony at Oxford Town Hall and our arrival at The Perch, can be found here.
The Perch in Binsey, Oxfordshire, is a venue I have been to many times (see my other Perch weddings here!) and I never tire of returning. It has the most stunning setting on the banks of the River Isis, and there can be few things more magical than walking through Port Meadow as newlyweds, watching the sun set. Amy and John were married in June, all the wild flowers were out in the meadow, and all around was the happy excitement of knowing that summer has really finally arrived. The walk we took that evening is one I will always remember.
I loved how Amy and John had set up the marquee, with a spacious chill-out area at one end and flowers all along the tables – so pretty! And it was very cool how they had a whole range of cakes home-made by friends and family. They tasted as amazing as they looked – talented cake-making friends are definitely the best kind of talented friends to have!
I am so grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful day and to have met Amy and John and their lovely families. Amy and John, stay in touch and I hope to see you again!
