Amy and John Part 1 – Oxford Town Hall wedding photography

Amy and John’s wedding – what a perfect, beautiful day filled with happiness and kindness and so much love.

At their engagement shoot a few months earlier, Amy and John had been one of those rare couples that didn’t need any directing at all.  I didn’t have to ease them into it, or help them relax, or – normally the most difficult thing – get them to ignore the camera.  From word go, they were completely absorbed in each other.  They were an absolute joy to photograph!

They were married in June at Oxford Town Hall.  I loved the ceremony room!  Such a beautiful space, with the high vaulted ceilings and wood panelling and soft lighting coming in through the tall windows.  It was a wonderful room in which to witness Amy and John exchange their vows.  After the ceremony, they boarded a boat at the Head of the River (much to the delight of the watching crowds!) and set off on their voyage to The Perch in Binsey.  There, they were greeted by their guests – we had taken the much faster path by boat to get ahead of them!

Part 2, of the reception and their photos at Port Meadow, to follow.  Credit goes to Minna for Amy’s lovely dress, Green and Gorgeous for the flowers, Anne Veck Hair, and Oxford River Cruises.
